Inspection of a Vehicle

Hardware and software Diagnostics complex to set up and manage the automated process of technical inspection of a vehicle consists of the following tasks:
  • Automation of information processing by technical inspection sessions;
  • Automation of Vehicle Diagnostic map creation process;
  • Automation of process of information exchange with other systems and software complexes involved into technical inspection process set up (i.e. Traffic Police data base, Central data base, hardware and software Engineering supervision);
  • Automation of process of collection and analysis reports on Technical Inspection Office functioning.
The system has multi section distributed architecture due to features of system technical configuration. Each Technical Inspection Office has its own local network. Central Server access is done from Technical Inspection Office via modem. Besides the system has special applications (services) that receive data from different equipments, including video-cameras. These applications are installed on separate computers with direct access to the equipments. Technical Inspection Office local Server receives data from these applications. Main business-logic of the system is on the application local Server. Client applications display the data and interact with the User. Applications that receive data from the equipments provide access for local Server. System security is done with the help of authorization Client connections with Technical Inspection Office Servers, and Technical Inspection Office Servers with Central Server.

Hardware and software Diagnostics complex provides the following features:
  • Registration data of the inspected vehicle and its owner;
  • Check of technical inspection payment by the vehicle owner;
  • Monitoring and management of vehicle queue that are on technological lines of technical inspection;
  • Vehicle defect diagnostics on technological lines of technical inspection, collection data on vehicle state in automated mode;
  • Vehicle Diagnostic map creation;
  • Information exchange with other systems and software complexes involved into process of technical inspection of a vehicle (i.e. Traffic Police data base, Central data base, hardware and software Engineering supervision);
  • Report on Technical Inspection Office functioning.

Users

The application is for the following User groups:
  • Central Server Administrator is responsible for Central data base management (list of Technical Inspection Offices and global directory);
  • Organization Staff is responsible for local data base for the Technical Inspection Office (settings, lines, stands, work place);
  • Technical Inspection Office administrator is responsible for local directories, mistake sessions.
  • Traffic controller creates technical inspection sessions, conducts payments, receives request for technical inspection, sends sessions for examinations and inspections.
  • Controller is responsible for conducting a vehicle examination on the line.
